Core Plan - Health Care For Adults With No Dependent Children

At 12:00 P.M. (noon) on October 9, 2009, we will suspend the BadgerCare Plus Core Plan enrollment process. We will no longer be enrolling new members in the Core Plan after 12:00 P.M. (noon) October 9, 2009 because the total number of applications we have received is greater than the number of slots available.  We will create a BadgerCare Plus Core Plan waitlist and people on the waitlist will be able to enroll as space becomes available. You may apply for the Core Plan at ACCESS.wi.gov until 12:00 P.M. (noon) on October 9, 2009.

For more information about the Waitlist, see the BadgerCare Plus Core Plan Waitlist fact sheet or Waitlist Frequently Asked Questions.

BadgerCare Plus Basic plan is a very limited health care plan which, pending legislative approval, individuals who are on the Core Plan Waitlist can enroll in the Basic Plan. For more information about this plan, go to BadgerCarePlus.org/basic.

The BadgerCare Plus Core Plan provides access to health care services to long-term uninsured adults.  If your income is at or below 200% of the federal guidelines ($1,805 for a single person and $2,428.33 for a married couple*); are age 19 through 64 who do not have children or do not have dependent children under age 19 living with you, you may be able to enroll in the BadgerCare Plus Core Plan.

For more information, see the BadgerCare Plus Core Plan Enrollment web.

You can find additional information on the BadgerCare Plus Core Plan publication web.  If you have questions, call the Enrollment Services Center at 1-800-291-2002 (voice) or 711 (TTY).

If you need help to apply, please see our list of Community Access Points

*These amounts are based on the 2009 federal guidelines, which increase by a small percentage each year.
